Password Generator
About the Password Generator
Create strong, random passwords that are resistant to guessing and brute-force attacks. Choose the length and which character sets to include: uppercase, lowercase, digits and symbols. Longer passwords with a mix of character types are exponentially harder to crack, and a unique password per site limits the damage of any single breach. Generation uses your browser's random number source and nothing is transmitted or stored.
How to use the Password Generator
- Set the desired password length (12 or more characters is recommended).
- Tick the character types you want to include.
- Click Generate to produce a new password.
- Copy it into your password manager.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a password be?
At least 12 characters for everyday accounts and 16 or more for email, banking and admin access. Length matters more than complexity.
Are the generated passwords stored anywhere?
No. They exist only on your screen until you copy them. Reloading the page produces different ones.
Should I reuse a strong password across sites?
No. Use a different password for every account and store them in a password manager so you only have to remember one.
